The first meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board for CME took place Friday, November 12, 1999. The Board meets twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters.

The members of the IAB were welcomed by Dr. J. Derald Morgan, Vice-President for University Advancement.

Dr. Christopher Russell who was a valuable member of this Industrial Board died of an accident at his home in Hartselle, Alabama on August 2, 2002. Chris is survived by his wife Tracy and sons Aden (born 1996), Ty (born 1998) and Eli (born 2001). Chris also leaves behind an extended family and friend who will miss him very much.
